Let's work together to build a great program...
In conjunction with study abroad offices, our mission is to help faculty from top U.S. universities build custom short-term education abroad programs in Mendoza, Argentina, where experiential learning is the focus.
For many reasons, Mendoza is a special place in the world (and within Argentina) to bring students, including:
- Thousands of companies in Winemaking, Tourism & Hospitality, Transportation & Logistics, Agriculture and Consumer Finance that are appreciative of and eager to receive consultation from North American students
- A unique economic and political environment where it’s anything but business as usual, giving students the opportunity to learn about challenges presented by high inflation, currency controls, import/export restrictions, universal unionization and interventionist governmental policies
- Locals who have not been jaded by mobs of foreign students descending upon them every summer for decades
- A warm Latin culture whose customs students find engaging (eating bbq asado, drinking mate, spending Sundays at the park with family or close friends, picnicing amongst Malbec vineyards, hiking in the Andes, etc.)
- An ideal climate for outdoor activities like rafting, biking, and horseback riding (over 300 days of sunshine per year)
- A city with a diverse economy that is a transportation and logistical hub on the bi-oceanic corridor between Brazil, Argentina and Chile
- Distance from terrorist activity (no incidents in Argentina since 1994 and none in Mendoza for over thirty years)
- Mendoza is a smaller, safer, more walkable and slower-paced city than Buenos Aires and has far less traffic, rainy weather and air/noise pollution
Hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students have participated in our faculty-led programs over the past nine years. Although our current programs are fully booked, we welcome the opportunity to discuss the development of new programs for the 2018-2019 academic year.
